When someone has prolonged contact with a non or poorly ventilated underground this can cause excessive sweating and may eventually even lead to skin irritations. This could happen in the case of people who through illness or disability are (wheel)chair-bound. Also applicable for professionals who are bound to their seat all day. DecubitusThe Ventsit does not prevent Decubitus. For individual users with feeling disorder the Ventisit may provide a solution for specific applications. Think of applications such as (water) sports, hot weather, ect. VentilationFor optimum ventilation the Ventisit may not be enclosed. It is best if the Ventisit is wider than your back and the side is not sealed by covers and / or clothing. ComfortThe Comfort is also determined by the thickness of the Ventisit and the type of surface to which it will be attached. The Ventisit Comfort has a greater resilience and more ventilating power than the Classic version. TypesYou can choose which Ventisit best suits you, because Ventisit is available in 2 standard versions:
FastenIn most cases there is no 'installation' required. Should it prove necessary it can be easily accomplished by using binder clips (tie wraps) or an elastic band. If Ventisit is applied on a hard plastic surface it can be attached using double sided sticky tape, like carpet tape from Tesa. The double-sided foam tape is not suitable and should not be used. It is difficult to remove and may leave stains. At your request we can deliver cushion with Velcro fastening. MoistureThe material does not absorb moisture, outdoor usage therefore is no problem. The Ventisit also absorbs no sweat, making the pad completely odor free.MaintenanceThe Ventisit normally requires no maintenance. You can remove dust from the Ventisit by rinsing with water (garden hose) or washing it by hand or machine up to 40˚C.Note: If you have any additional tips and / or methods for other users of the Ventisit, please let us know via our contact form. |
